The children have been settling in to their new key groups. They have been developing confidence to explore nursery, feeling safe and happy – finding places to play. This term we have been looking at the changes in the environment: exploring leaves and making collages, painting, printing and throwing them in the air. We also crunched and scrunched them. We have been jumping in puddles (splish, splash!), singing number rhymes and exploring stories and books. Bear, Tiger and Zebra Groups have been reading and exploring ‘Walking Through the Jungle’. Hippo and Giraffe Groups have been exploring ‘Handa’s Surprise’, including using props, animals and real fruit.
