This term, Tiger and Zebra groups embarked on a wonderful adventure to Windmill Hill City Farm. The excitement began with taking the train from Lawrence Hill to Bedminster, followed by a walk to the farm – a fantastic opportunity for the children to experience different forms of transport and explore their local community.
At the farm, the children had great fun meeting the animals up close. They discovered the loud cow, encountered the smelly pig, and were particularly charmed by the cute baby goats they were able to touch and interact with. These hands-on experiences provided wonderful opportunities for sensory exploration and learning about different animals and their characteristics.
The children enjoyed their packed lunches together before having a brilliant time playing in the gravel play area, which offered a different texture and play experience from their usual outdoor environment.
After making the journey back to nursery, the children were eager to share their adventures with friends, recounting all the exciting things they had seen and done during their farm visit.
A huge thank you to all the parent and carer volunteers who made these trips possible! Your support enables us to provide these enriching experiences that create lasting memories and valuable learning opportunities for the children.
