Giraffe and Hippo Group at Cashmore Early Years Centre have been marking two very special celebrations last term, and the children have thrown themselves into both with real enthusiasm!
To celebrate Eid, the children have been creating beautiful decorations for the classroom using glitter glue with moon and star paper, bringing some real sparkle to the room. They have also been decorating biscuits with icing, drizzling, spreading and dotting to make them as colourful and yummy as possible! Alongside this, the children have been enjoying Eid lift-the-flap books, learning key words like gift, party, Eid and family as they explore the pages together.
Easter and Spring have been just as exciting, with the children making their own chocolate Easter nests by crushing cereal and mixing it with melted chocolate, and creating their own Easter egg designs using tissue paper and glue. Spring and Easter books have been a lovely addition too, with the children getting to grips with key words including egg, Easter, chocolate and bunny.
It has been a wonderfully rich and celebratory couple of weeks, and the children have loved every minute of it!
