Some parents have asked us how they can help their children with reading and writing, and phonics.
At home, the best way to help your child is to
*Relax and be playful together, throughout your day;
*Share books together so children learn to love connecting with others and sharing ideas through story;
*Be playful with how you use language and words, to help children gain a deeper understanding of how words are built up from sounds.
Playing with language and sounds helps children develop important skills for reading and writing. We hope that you find the information in this leaflet will give you some more ideas to help you.
If you watch our videos you may see some of the ways we introduce playing with language and sounds into a range of games or playful activities.
