Coming up in March’s newsletter from Cashmore Early Years Centre you can read about the wonderful spring atmosphere in school with children experiencing the elements in the garden through splashing in puddles, playing in mud and exploring hailstones.

The newsletter highlights exciting learning across both age groups, with Hippo and Giraffe Groups (2-year-olds) exploring Handa’s Surprise and Chocolate Mousse for Greedy Goose through fruit tasting, sensory activities with cereals and playdough, and Lunar New Year celebrations including noodle tasting with chopsticks and decorating red money pockets, whilst Zebra and Tiger Groups (3-year-olds) have been learning about construction and demolition, exploring transport through books like Duck in the Truck, learning to recognise their names, and celebrating Lunar New Year with the story of The Great Race and copying Chinese symbols for the Year of the Horse.

You’ll find helpful Easter-themed literacy and numeracy tips about recognising environmental print and identifying 3D shapes, information about the successful World Book Day celebration that raised £37, and an expression of interest form for a summer holiday club at St Philip’s Marsh.

There’s also important information about the returners form deadline of Monday 27th April, the change from ParentPay to Arbor by end of March, a new lunchtime menu from April, and details about a SEND event at We The Curious on 16th March with a session about children with SEND starting school.
