Bristol Parenting Groups – Free Support for Parents and Carers

by | Feb 27, 2026 | Community News, News

Bristol Family Hubs (formerly Children’s Centres) are offering free parenting groups for parents, carers and expectant parents of children aged 0-8 years across Bristol.

These groups provide an opportunity to add ideas and skills to your parenting toolbox, develop more confidence in your parenting and better understand your child. The sessions focus on key parenting approaches including nurture, empathy, praise, play, listening and connection. A range of different courses are available, each designed to support families at different stages.

Parents who have previously attended the groups have shared positive feedback about their experiences. One parent who attended the Nurturing Programme said they were “a better mother and a better person for it,” whilst another described Welcome to the World as providing “so much needed information.” A participant in the Incredible Years Programme noted feeling “more educated, confident and equipped to take the challenges I face with my child.”

The groups are run by the Bristol Family Hubs Parenting Team and are available at multiple locations across the city. To register your interest, visit www.bit.ly/BristolParentingGroups and complete an Expression of Interest Form. The team will then be in touch to discuss the best group option for your family.
